Tarcisio Andreolli

Former President of the Autonomous Region of Trentino - Alto Adige

 

Dr. Andreolli has committed to social advancement by serving on several elective offices.

From 1987 to 1993, Dr. Andreolli was President of the Autonomous Region of Trentino - Alto Adige.

From 1996 to 2001 he served as Senator of the Italian Republic and Member of several Parliamentary Commissions.

Prior to that, he served as Mayor in his home city Brentonico from 1962 to 1967, as Trento City Councillor from 1974 to 1980, and as Councillor for the Province of Trento and the Autonomous Region of Trentino - Alto Adige from 1983 to 1993.

Dr. Andreolli has provided valuable contributions to the major institutions in the Province of Trento from research, to innovation to culture. Specifically, from 1968 to 1982, Dr. Andreolli served as Secretary General of the “Istituto Trentino di Cultura” and as Administrative Director of the University of Trento, one of the top ranked Universities of Italy and top ranked School of Engineering.

From 1984 to 1994, he was the President of the world famous “Museo  di arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto” (MART) and Councillor for Education and Culture for the Province of Trento from 1983 to 1987.

Tarcisio Andreolli holds a degree in philosophy. He was born in Brentonico (Trento, Italy) in 1936 and is married with 2 children.
