GreenTech - First International Conference on Eco-Technology and Green Computing

The United Nations Millennium Declaration calls on governments to work in collaboration with the private sector to achieve ambitious sustainability goals, actively contribute to the protection and conservation of the World's natural resources and fight against climate change. Although debate is ongoing, most scientists attribute a key role to technology in achieving these objectives. Information technology, in particular, can provide monitoring facilities, control systems, intelligent construction models that can play a crucial role in promoting sustainable development.

The First International Conference on Eco-Technology and Green Computing (GreenTech) focuses on the role of green ICT or Ecological Technology in accomplishing more eco-responsible and energy efficient solutions in computing and promoting environmentally friendly computer technologies and systems.

The event aims at bringing together researchers, practitioners and industry members who are interested in both ICT and the ecological impact of computing on the environment.
