Innovation Stage: Policy and Regulation
Objective
This track aims to provide a comprehensive overview of current policies and future regulatory trends affecting innovation in Europe as well as a discussion of the challenges and opportunities posed by each. Also, the track provides a forum in which leading European policymakers, regulators, academics and IP experts provide perspectives, analysis and insight on challenges and opportunities for European innovation in light of current or prospective policies affecting innovation in ICT-enabled areas. Presenters feature key European policy-makers, regulators, academics, IP experts and other industry thought-leaders.
The highlight of the Regulation and Policy track is the Grassroots Position Paper on the topic relative to policies affecting innovation in Europe. Conclusions and policy recommendations are integrated into the EAI Strategic Forum to shape the future of Europe’s innovation agenda and become a part of ongoing EAI publications.

Session formats include position paper presentations, keynote presentations, panel discussions and workshops. Presenters feature key European policy-makers, regulators, academics, standards and IP experts and other industry thought-leaders.
