EAI helps connect organizations that win bid for EU project, Mobicap
EAI, thanks to its networking and matchmaking capability, created a very strong consortium (including SpaceTec Capital, FILAS, Intesa San Paolo and WIP Connect) and won the bid for an important EU project: Mobicap. Part of the EMMIA programme, MOBICAP combines complementary competencies and track record along the funding chain. The partners provide the background for this interdisciplinary innovation area: as investors, industry player, intermediary and consultants with expertise in mobility, mobile services and enabling technologies. The team will analyse shortcomings of access to finance for MMSI and translate them into concrete recommendations and actions for the different relevant political and economic actors. A thorough analysis of MMSI stakeholders will help to identify entities to engage in the fund creation. MOBICAP plans to develop an ecosystem composed by an online crowd expertise platform and live events to improve efficiency in investor readiness training, the selection process and matchmaking. MOBICAP will engage a crowd sourced, qualified coaching team to improve selection processes and investment readiness training of start-ups. MOBICAP will build on tools developed by relevant PRO-INNO Europe projects and other players (e.g. NAVTEQ, INTESA, ESA). With a thorough analysis and the engagement of relevant stakeholders MOBICAP will build the cornerstones of a pan-EU investment fund. The consortium's wide network as well as the documentation and advertising of promising co-investment schemes will jointly mobilise significant private, public and mixed funding of MMSI services. All project activities will synch with other EMMIA activities through a structured interface with the Policy Learning Platform.
