The INNOVER-EAST project aims at developing new skills and competences in innovation services at relevant organizations in the Eastern Partnership countries (EPCs).

The project supports the link between research and innovation, academia and business, and between EU and the targeted EPCs in the field of energy efficiency.

Main Objectives

  • Capacity building on innovation services
  • Commercialization of innovative products and solutions in the targeted EPCs
  • Policy dialogue between the EU and the targeted EPCs, and in particular inside the targeted EPCs, on innovation related to energy efficiency
  • Capabilities building at national level in the targeted EPCs among all stakeholders in the innovation value chain on energy efficiency
  • Networking activities of innovation actors between the EPC region and Europ

  • Research organizations,
  • Industry including SMEs (preferably at the level of their representative associations),
  • Science parks and innovation clusters,
  • National and regional research and innovation funding agencies,
  • Intermediary organizations providing innovation support services,
  • Users communities

Expected Results

To develop new skills and competences in innovation services at relevant organizations in the Eastern Partnership Countries

  • To contribute to the learning process on how to bridge knowledge and business with a direct focus on energy efficiency
  • To develop the learning process at both business and academy, and in the public sector, in particular at the policy making chain
  • To improve the dimension and quality of policy dialogue at both national, regional and European level

The Role of EAI in the project

The European Alliance for Innovation will give its contribution to:

  • The development of a conceptual framework and methodology for the review of the national state of innovation in EPCs
  • The preparation of recommendations on innovation in energy efficiency for policy makers
  • General dissemination activities
