What are SIB Councils

SIB (Science, Innovation and Business) Communities bring together key players interested in ICT innovation around a thematic focus, allowing Community members to apply their diverse expertise and experience to collaborate more effectively in a particular area.

SIBs Communities bridge the gap between research and market by favouring the cross-fertilisation of ideas between participants from different backgrounds and fostering innovation activities.

Members of a SIB Community engage and participate “physically” through conferences, summits, workshops and dedicated events and, “virtually”, on-line through a dedicated SIB portal where they can collaborate, exchange ideas and knowledge, upload prototypes, propose actitivies with their fellow SIB members. Portals allow members to develop partnerships, disseminate publications, organise events, and access required services.
