Master and Bachelor Students Competition on Innovation in the automotive sector

The Master and Bachelor Students COMPETITION 2011 is a competition for students in a Master and Bachelor programme. The competition gives the students an opportunity to showcase their work to experts within the field of Innovation in the automotive sector. Please refer to each country web site for possible scope specifications.
The competition is intended for Master and Bachelor students. Eligibility is restricted to students in the AUTOCLUSTERS project partners research institutions as listed below:

What to submit:

NOTE: Max two students per Paper/Poster
Students are required to submit a paper and a poster. All papers and posters are required to be submitted in PDF format.

·            All papers and posters must be written in English.
·            All papers shall be formatted for an A4 size page, the bottom and top margins shall be 25 mm, the left margins shall be 35 mm and the right margin shall be 20 mm.
·            All papers must be max. 10 pages, min 3 pages

Where to submit

Submissions will be accepted only through ASSYST

Where and how the competition is run:

Each submission will happen per country: each country will select a winner totalling 3 winners.

a)   Each specific Country Evaluation Committee (CEC) will select one winner.
b)   Every CEC is composed by at least two experts.

Prizes:

·      All applicants will get CDs with all abstracts papers and posters.
·     The winners:

o   will be announced online (EAI/Autoclusters website);
o   will have a video interview or a demo published online (EAI/Autoclusters website);
o   will have the Poster displayed during an international event (to be announced).

Deadlines:

Paper-Poster submission deadline: 20 October 2011
Evaluation period: 21-3 October 2011
Online notification of winners:  1 November 2011 
Event: November/December 2011 17th November 2011, Trento, Italy

Master and Bachelor Students COMPETITIONS 2011 Rules

The Master and Bachelor Students COMPETITION 2011 rules are outlined below and all rules must be followed.

  • All submitted entries will automatically give their permission for their abstract to go public on the AUTOCLUSTERS/EAI website. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that such publication does not breach the copyright of others.
  •  All abstracts must be the students own work. Students may submit work already published, provided it is their own work and its publication to the Master and Bachelor Students COMPETITION 2011 website does not breach copyright.
  • Only entries submitted within the online submission section of Master and Bachelor Students COMPETITION 2011 website will be accepted.
  • The competition is open to students in Master and Bachelor programmes.
  •  Students who graduate from a Master and Bachelor degree before the submission deadline of 20th October 2011 are not eligible to apply.
  •  Winners will be acknowledged on the AUTOCLUSTERS/EAI website.
  • All winners will be given a certificate acknowledging their achievement.
  • Entrants must provide all requested details when entering the competition, as outlined in the Application Form.
  • Entrants must comply with all rules to be eligible for the prizes. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.
  • Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition.
  • The Master and Bachelor Students COMPETITION 2011 organisers do not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries due to poor performance of the Internet – applicants are advised to apply as early as possible. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
  • Without the expressed permission of the organisers, this competition is not open to employees of the faculty or anyone already involved or participating in it or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation or running of the Master and Bachelor Students COMPETITION 2011, or their direct family members.
  • The organisers reserve the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in their opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of their control. The competition will be partially or totally cancelled if financial support anticipated by the organisers does not materialise. In such circumstances, no costs will be refunded.
