The Innovation Academy is a distinctive body within the European Alliance for Innovation. The Academy’s purpose, and encompassing focus, is to promote innovation through recognition of excellence in research and practice alike. Members of the Academy will represent renowned thought leaders and experts from around the world, who made fundamental contributions in promoting research and science as conduit for innovation.

The EAI Community is the ensemble of the EAI individual participants and is where an engaged membership base actively works together to change the insular mindset and wide-spread fragmentation that impedes innovation in Europe.

The Innovation Cycle represents a framework for classifying the different stages and stakeholders related to the development of innovation.
The Innovation Cycle is composed of the six segments representing the EAI vision of activities perceived as fundamental to Europe’s innovation based competitiveness.

  1. Publications

The European Alliance for Innovation is developing a comprehensive publication portfolio in support of innovation.  EAI publications utilize novel collaborative concepts to achieve shorter “time to market” with higher-review-quality publications, while providing a significantly increased impact by utilizing web technologies to obtain massively-connected diffusion systems.

  1. SIB

SIB stands for Science, Innovation and Business (SIB) Councils. SIB Councils bring together key players interested in ICT innovation around a thematic focus allowing Community members to apply their diverse expertise and experience to collaborate more effectively in a particular area.

  1. Strategic Forum

The Strategic Forum is the strategy and advocacy body of EAI. The Forum is where leading minds with insight and influence in industry, society, and government come together to engage in the mission of advancing innovation in Europe through EAI and its many facets. The Forum is made up of individuals representing organizational members who bring findings to, interact with, and establish the direction of innovation through the Forum’s Steering Board, Advisory Board, General Assembly, Committees and Working Groups.

  1. Summits

EAI Summits are multi-day events that bring together leading experts and key players from industry, private investment, academia, research, governmental, and non-governmental organisations to present, discuss, and recognize the state of the art in ICT related innovation.
The Summits are organized by Science, Innovation and Business (SIB) Councils, which represent EAI’s engaged individual member-community organized into thematically targeted groups. Each SIB Summit is also organized in to Tracks that coincide with the Innovation Cycle Segments.
