This journal will provide a venue for publishing the latest research and developments in the area of Future Internet. Only original and unpublished contributions that are not under simultaneous review at another conference or journal will be considered.

The journal in particular welcomes contributions that deal with the various aspects of computing and communications that help achieve the goals of the Future Internet.  Papers that describe innovative applications and test-beds that will help in achieving the vision of the Future Internet, and tools that enable development of novel networking applications are also welcome.


Dr. Krishna M. Sivalingam (IEEE Fellow, INAE Fellow, ACM Distinguished Scientist) is a Professor in the Department of CSE, IIT Madras, Chennai, INDIA. Previously, he has held faculty positions in the Department of CSEE at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA from 2002 until 2007; the School of EECS at Washington State University, Pullman from 1997 until 2002; and the University of North Carolina Greensboro from 1994 until 1997. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1994 and 1990 respectively; and his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 1988 from Anna University’s College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai (Madras), India. His research interests include wireless networks, optical wavelength division multiplexed networks, network security and performance evaluation. He is also serving as Editor-in-Chief of Springer Photonic Network Communications Journal.

He is serving or has served as a member of the Editorial Board for ACM Wireless Networks Journal, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, Elsevier Optical Switching and Networking Journal, International Journal of Security and Networks, Ad Hoc and Sensor Wireless Networks Journal, International Journal of Vehicular Technology, and KICS Journal of Communications and Networks. Special Issues Editor

Murat Yuksel is an Associate Professor at the CSE Department of The University of Nevada - Reno (UNR), Reno, NV. Prior to UNR, he was with the ECSE Department of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, NY as a Postdoctoral Associate and a member of Adjunct Faculty until 2006. He received a B.S. degree in computer engineering of Ege University, Izmir, Turkey in 1996. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science of RPI in 1999 and 2002 respectively. He worked as a software engineer at Pepperdata, Sunnyvale, CA and a visiting researcher at AT&T Labs and Los Alamos National Lab. His research interests are in the area of networked, wireless, and computer systems with a recent focus on big-data networking, UAV networks, optical wireless, public safety communications, device-to-device protocols, economics of cyber-security and cyber-sharing, routing economics, network management, and network architectures. He has been on the editorial board of Computer Networks, and published more than 100 papers at peer-reviewed journals and conferences and is a co-recipient of the IEEE LANMAN 2008 Best Paper Award.
