About Security and Safety (SIB-SEC)

Security, Privacy and digital Forensics are three areas that over the last 10 years have attracted considerable amount of attention from the academics, industries, governments and the public across the globe. As the concern grows exponentially due to the increasing penetration of mobile and wireless devices and the internet there is still very limited interaction between the academics, industries, governments and the end users. This SIB Community brings together all stakeholders and actors involved to promote cross-fertilization of perspectives across the Innovation Cycle and encourage a multidisciplinary approach to innovation to foster innovative research in security, privacy and forensics themes as well as the development and commercialization of technologies which can provide protection against electronic attacks on the critical national information infrastructures.
