EAI CONFERENCES ONLINE
In response to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, EAI has made a commitment to its community to continue supporting their professional life. We made sure that all authors submitting papers to EAI conferences in 2020 and onward can still rely on the publication, indexing, and networking opportunities they have come to expect.
To ensure safety, comfort and quality of experience for attendees, EAI offers a fully-fledged online option to our scheduled conferences and we are working closely with the organizing committees to provide the most suitable solution for authors and attendees in each case. As a result, all upcoming conferences continue to accept submissions and all matters related to publication and indexing remain unchanged. That includes continued publication in the Springer’s LNICST and our own CORE and CCER proceedings series, as well as unhindered submission to world’s leading indexing services including Scopus, Ei Compendex, ISI Web of Science, Google Scholar, Crossref, etc.
What does an online EAI conference look like?
Starting in 2021, online EAI conferences are streamed live via Zoom in a pre-recorded format. This guarantees that presenting authors get enough time to prepare and record their presentations in the safety and comfort of their homes, while delivering a professionally produced viewing experience that allows live interaction between all participants. Simultaneously, participation via Zoom allows all live attendees to easily transition into a Q&A session after every presentation.
We feel strongly that although the current crisis has had immeasurable negative effects on people everywhere and has unfortunately prevented our community from meeting in person, it also provides us with a unique opportunity to share knowledge with more people than ever. That is why going forward, the VODs of online conferences will be made available to everyone at no additional cost after a certain time period.
Online EAI conferences provide their participants with additional benefits that are unique to this format:
- Live chat for the entire duration of the conference live stream,
- Online Q&A for each individual presentation reserved for participants,
- Author registrants get an opportunity to get in touch with other speakers individually via EAI Compass, as well as access to conference soft proceedings 4 days before the start of the conference.
