Our colleague Stella Dao represented EAI at MCE South Europe 2026 in Valencia, Spain, joining conference organisers and event industry professionals from across Europe.
Hosted by Europe Congress, the event offered a packed programme of one-to-one meetings with representatives of convention bureaux, hotels, conference venues and other event service providers.
For us, the focus was practical: getting to know potential host destinations, comparing venue options and making contacts with local teams who could support our future conferences.
Choosing where to host an international academic conference involves much more than finding a suitable meeting room. Travel connections, accommodation, local support and the overall experience for participants all play a part. Events like MCE give us a chance to discuss these details directly with the people who know each destination best.
Stella returned with new contacts and several options worth exploring as we continue planning our conference calendar.
