The EAI conference that happened in Malmö has been inspiring for future work and research progress. I just finished the experience of being General Co-chair of EAI ICDF2C 2023. At first, it felt challenging to be responsible for an International level conference. But, thanks to the EAI Conference Manager and staff support, all fell into place turning the conference into a success for authors, attendees, and the Organizing committee. More than only the high-quality academic work, getting to know and be known by academics and practitioners was an enlightening career experience.

I wanted to use this opportunity to again express my gratitude for receiving the Best Paper Award and see our sustained work be recognized in this way. I would like to extend my thanks to each member of the organizing committee for their dedication and hard work in evaluating the submissions. I also thoroughly enjoyed the conferences’ atmosphere and regret I could not make it in person. We are continuing our efforts into the topic of Traffic State Estimation and the Best Paper Award is a great motivation for our work. We would be honored to publish our new research results in cooperation with the respected organizing committee.
